Wonderful home and property!!
House was great! Had everything we needed for our stay from firewood to toilet paper. Very roomy and hot tub was a special bonus. The views are beautiful and very accessible to all that Leatherwood has to offer. Leatherwood staff was very easy to work with and friendly. Already looking at our calendars to book our next stay. February 2019 guest stay.

Leatherwood is a beautiful place for a week or weekend get away. If you have horses, bring them with you. If you don't, they have them available. The atmosphere of Leatherwood is like that of family. It is one of my favorite vacation spots. The views from the mountaintop cabins is breathtaking. I highly recommend!

"Mountain Memories is an excellent cabin!!"
The pictures don't do it justice, the cabin is amazing, the kitchen is fully stuck of all items you can possibly need to cook with, just bring the food. the outdoor grill has plenty of gas, even an extra gas tank, the Jacuzzi jets don't all work, but half do, good enough...

We really enjoyed this cabin. It had everything we needed and more. The large porch and hot tub were great. I brought three teenage girls who has a wonderful time and loved the cabin so I think that says it all!!

"Mountain Memories"
That is the perfect name for this cabin. We had an awesome time. We made "Mountain Memories" that we will never forget. We have been to Leatherwood before and rode several times, but this time we stayed longer and rode some beautiful trails and had alot of fun with friends. The cabin was wonderful and close to the restaurant and the meadow which is breathtaking. Thanks

"A perfect match for a perfect equestrian vacation!"
We enjoyed this cozy well appointed cabin and it's convenience to the stable. It made it so easy to arrive on time to all the activities we wanted to do. Our five nights at Mountain Memories were just like being at home. The owners have done a great job with every detail, even down to easy to operate electronics!! I will definitely re-book memo!!

"Loved the place!"
It had everything we needed expect the weather was too cool for us to us the hot tube :O( but, we'd love to come back during warmer weather :O). We rented in December for the actha CTC. It was warm and cozy and conveniently located to the stable and the start of the ride. The internet connection was good. The knives were sharp for the cook! The towels were soft. The beds were comfortable. There were just 2 of us so we had plenty of room. Great value for the location, room, and amenities.

"Beautiful, fully equipped mountain cabin"
We loved the cabin and the Leatherwood properties. The cabin was spacious and clean and had all the amenities of home plus some extras!! Our kids loved playing in the woods exploring and going fishing in the pond. We were hoping to be a little closer to town to take the kids to attractions, but we still made it!

Leatherwood is a great vacation location! great for all ages, from young to old. has all the comforts of home and then some, swing and hot tub on porch are a plus!! Staff is very friendly. Grounds are kept well!

"Awesome Easter vacation"
We had a wonderful time. The staff was very helpful, from check-in/out to information about things to do, directions and phone calls for reservations. The home was beautiful and had everything we needed. My daughter especially enjoyed the hot tub! We went kayaking,riding,zip lining,hiking,antiquing and sight seeing. My husband loved the feeling of seclusion and enjoyed playing his banjo on the porch. It's an absolutely marvelous place to vacation.

"Wonderful house!"
We loved the house, very well stocked with all that you need for a lovely stay. Loved that there was firewood ready to go for a fire in the living room. The front porch makes you feel as is if you are in the top of the trees. The hot tub was so relaxing. Everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. We really enjoyed the free night and we will be back!!!

Our daughter and her husband to be chose Leatherwood Mtn.for their wedding location. It was a beautiful place with great homes for out of state guest for the weekend.The staff was excellent, all their help with vendors and more was priceless. We felt like they were family helping with the wedding and all our needs. We chose Mountain Memories for our weekend home. It was clean, spacious and beautiful.My husband and I, daughter and her bridesmaids were able to stay and dress for the big event there. Leatherwood Mtn. and Mountain Memories will always have a special place in our hearts. The newlyweds said it was the best day of their lives! Need I say more.

Nice house,Well kept. Had everything we needed that we didn't bring with us therefore didn't require any service calls. Love the location to be able to walk to the stables etc.Have already booked this for another event. I hope the wobbly trundle bed in the loft has some attention before next time. Didn't need it this time but may have more people next time.

Everything was great. We have a varied age group in our horse club and have been going annually for several years. We rent 3-5 houses. We have stayed in a number of different houses and they have all been great. If you don't ride, they can shop or relax in hot tubs. If you do ride there are trails suitable for every rider's level of experience. We all can't wait to go again this year. The only negative comment that I heard was that there wasn't enough shavings in the stalls to begin with and the urine smell was strong. Overall it was great as usual.

"Love Leatherwood!!!!"
Got to Leatherwood and the key wasn't there for us but with a phone call, someone was there within minutes. We got to the house, Mountain Memories and the house was beautiful!!! We kept hearing a beeping noise, after an hour we figured it out. We were disappointed that there was no internet service and that we couldn't use our cellphones. Overall though, we did enjoy the house. We loved sitting on the wrap-around porch and sitting in the hot tub. We will certainly be back again! The people are the friendliest around. The food in the restuarant was great. We didn't get to horseback ride, but that was completely our fault for not scheduling as soon as we arrived. Though, they tried their best to fit me in. We were there for a motorcycle meet so we didn't get to tour the area this time, but for certain, next time, we will.
